I am Really Beautiful But Not a Liar

Before I got some extra attention to my body, some of my friends used to call me a piggy bank because I am really fat. Because I was so fat then, I could eat the entire inside body of the fridge. I continued like that, and of course what do you expect? I became so fat then. I was then advised to have a diet. I tried it but then I was rushed to the hospital. Are you looking for some reasons? That is the fact that I was low blood then. The doctor told me to take medicines which they prescribed.

I asked him as to what I am going to do because I am not used to sitting, just sitting without anything in mind, and without doing anything as well. The doctor told me to do some light exercises on the ab fitness equipment that I have at the house. My small workout ball also helped me to lose some weight because it became a nice additional workout tool for burning the fat around my belly. It eliminated some inches in my waist, and as a matter of fact, I am now working with some weight lifting already because the doctor told me that I am already fit to undergo some heavy exercises. Now, I can simultaneously work on my oblique workout machine while lifting some heavy weights.

From light to heavy one. Without the aforementioned equipments, I can no longer be able to reach this. I am happier now because I am both a combination of beauty and health.

I promise to myself, I will never consider those anymore as sort of problems. Yes, being fat is not a problem, it is rather a sort of challenges that we must all take into consideration and to be given an action upon.

The Time After a Workout is Just as Important as the Actual Workout

You just got done with your workout and you are coming off the buzz that your workout gave you.  Your body feels really good, and drenched in your own sweat as if it is a badge of courage for the effort that you gave to improve your body.  Now what do you do?  Normally people don’t really think much about what to do when their workout is over.  Most people think that the workout is over when they step off the treadmill, come into the house after running around the block, or drop the dumbbells after their final set.  Yet, if you just end your workout you aren’t taking full advantage of the time that you put into working out.

While your muscles should feel somewhat refreshed after a hard workout, that feeling won’t last long.  The feeling is usually replaced with one of soreness and stiffness.  Training your body in order to drop weight certainly isn’t a single day endeavor.  You are going to have to use those same muscles the next day when you resume your workout routine.  The best way to help reduce the stiffness and soreness of your muscles is to add a stretching routine onto the end of your workout.  Stretching your body helps it to build long lean muscles.  Those are the same muscles that women are really trying to get right now, because they give their body that long, slender sexy look.  In addition, stretching after a workout will help your muscles to recover faster.  That means less pain the following day when you are trying to use them.  There are numerous stretches that will cover the entire body, but you should try to include at least one stretch from the major muscle groups.  There are seven major muscle groups that will cover the majority of your body.  Your front muscles (chest, abs, etc.), back, upper left side, upper right side, groin, right leg and left leg.  Find a stretch that will work these major areas of your body, and be sure to hold each of the stretches twice for at least twenty seconds.  You will be pleasantly surprised with the results that you will see on your body.

Treating Compulsive Skin Picking

Dermotillomania, or Compulsive Skin Picking (CSP) can affect anyone at any time. It is a condition that can seriously affect the individual’s personal and working life.

What may start as an apparently innocent behaviour – an attempt to deal with minor irregularities and skin imperfections – can rapidly transform itself into a compulsion that leaves the person feeling confused and powerless.

The individual who consistently picks at his or her skin can spend long periods engaged in this activity and this can have a truly negative impact on their work and social relationships.

In severe instances, this often poorly understood condition can result in severe skin damage leading to actual disfigurement.

Most often, the individual experiencing this compulsive behaviour repeatedly picks, rubs, scratches or digs their nails into the skin. Quite often this condition can be triggered by stress and unresolved emotional difficulties such as anxiety, grief or simple boredom.

These days Compulsive Skin Picking is classified as one of the Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs). Other conditions that belong to this particular group include compulsive hair pulling and chronic nail biting.

It is important that anyone engaging in compulsive skin picking consult a medical doctor so that any possible medical condition can be eliminated.

This is necessary in order to make sure that the skin picking activity is a seperate issue and not a symptom of some other more serious underlying disorder such as an autoimmune or developmental problem.

Many people find that they begin to pick at their skin during a stressful period in their lives.

The individual learns, through repetion, that by picking at the skin they can exercise some degree of control or at least distract themself from the underlying difficult feelings and emotions. And so the skin picking becomes a habit.

Still others may have begun picking their skin following some form of skin injury or disease. As the wound or injury to the skin begins the process of healing, a scab forms which can often feel quite itchy. This may cause the person to pick or scratch, and this in turn prevents the wound from completely healing. And this leads to even more itching and picking as more scabbing takes place.

The medical response to chronic skin picking, dermotillomania, is often to prescribe one of the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) such as Prozac. Though this approach has had a degree of success, it works only on the symptoms. It does absolutely nothing about the underlying causes or drivers.

Other approaches include CBT or Habit Reversal Training (HRT) which aims to identify possible triggers and to then teach the individual coping strategies. This approach has also had some success, but again, it focuses on managing the actual symptoms, rather than dealing with the real underlying drivers and cause.

In the opinion of this therapist, a more effective approach is to uncover the actual causes and drivers of the skin picking through the use of advanced and skillfully applied hypnotherapy techniques and strategies.

The dermotillomania is being driven by subconscius urges, so it is to the subconscious mind itself that we need to turn if we are to bring about a solution to this harming behaviour.

Once the underlying reasons and drivers for the dermotillomania have been uncovered, the subconscious mind can be helped to ‘re-programme’ itself and the skin picking simply becomes extinct or replaced with a more helpful anxiety or stress release strategy.

Avoid Injuries When Working Out

When a person is working out nothing stops the momentum they have like an injury.  Injuries will set back workout and weight loss plans, and may even change the quality of life that a person has after the injury.  It is important that while you are working out you do everything you can to prevent injuries from occurring.  Here are some common injuries that affect people when they are working out, and some ways to help prevent them.  

Rotator Cuff.  The rotator cuff is made out of four muscles.  The purpose of the rotator cuff is to allow your shoulder to rotate in the socket.  The majority of rotator cuff injuries occur when weight trainers are too focused on the chest and bench press.  Remember if you are strengthening one side of your body it is important to strengthen the other.  Try to find exercises that will give you the same amount of time rotating your arm the opposite way of the bench press.

Back Injuries.  The Lower back injuries are very common for people that are weight lifting.  Many exercises will place the back in a compromising position.  It is important to not put too much strain on the lower back; the weight lifting techniques and form that you use when weightlifting will influence how much pressure you place on the lower back.  If you start feeling pain in the lower back stop what you are doing.  A person can cause serious injuries to their back in a short amount of time.  To avoid injury start working out with less weight to really prefect your technique, and then when you increase the weight consider using a weight lifting belt.

Knee Injuries.  Often many knee injuries and pain occurs with people who spend a large amount of their time doing cardio workouts.  Running outside or on a treadmill can put strain on the knee every time that your feet come down.  This is especially true for people who are overweight and just starting their cardio training.  Having the right shoes will make a difference in the amount of pressure you put on your knees.  When purchasing a shoe, find a shoe that will absorb the impact of running, or even consider buying an insole that will help to decrease the pressure of training.

Joint Injuries.  When a person is training they normally put additional pressure on the joints of their body.  It is important to help to maintain the joint stability.  To help avoid joint injuries it is important to stretch before and after workouts.  Stretching will help the body to recover faster, and it will help you to build up the muscle fibers in the joints.  Diet is also very important for joint health.  The body needs vitamins and minerals to maintain the joints.  A standard diet can often not include the proper elements that your body requires when training.  Take a good multivitamin everyday to ensure that your body has a ready supply of the vitamins it needs to function correctly.  Also a person that is training needs to increase their omega-3 fatty acids.  Omega-3 fatty acids are essential to your body’s health.  Omega-3 fatty acids have also been found to help joint health in the body.  Taking a good fish oil supplement will help you to have all the essential fatty acids your body needs.
